Bloglovin’ on V-Day…
Hmmm…Valentine’s Day again. This morning, before heading to work, I went through my regular routine of checking out my social media sites. Coffee and quiche in bed with my ever-present MacBook Pro – yes, I am a true 21st century cliche…technology follows me everywhere.
Other than a loving shout-out to all, though, I don’t have too much to say on the celebration. I’ve already sent out my tweets and updated my timeline with the requisite hearts…anything more will have to wait. Tonight we’re heading out to a local eatery for a full-on feast, and I’ve been looking forward to key lime cheesecake for weeks!
In the words of Monty Python’s segue genius, John Cleese, “…and now for something completely different…”
In general, I don’t like to write too much about the temperature here in Nunavut – I do, after all, choose to live here. However, today is different…the temperature here in Rankin – with the windchill – has finally wandered into the -38C range. We’ve been trapped in such a cold prison for the past 2 months, it’s nice to have such a comfortable change. Although I know the weather updates will dip back down again, these brief moments of warmth do absolute wonders for the spirit…it’s a reminder that spring isn’t too far off.
…and spring in the Arctic is awesome…
Catch you on the flip-side lovebirds…don’t forget to get your fill of chocolate! I plan on going to the Northern and buying a bunch of the Easter treats that are already on display…the Valentine’s Day stuff has been there since Christmas!
